Ilya Fominyh is a professional tattoo artist from Kazan (originally from Kirov region), who is well known not only in Russia but also abroad. Founder of Neformat Tattoo. He participated in more than 50 festivals in Russia and Europe, now appears at conventions mainly as a member of jury.
He has been tattooing since 2008, although the first home-made tattoo machine fell into Ilya’s hands when he was 8-9 years old. Then he tried it on a friend and while serving in the army he made himself first tattoo.
Now Ilya not only decorates the bodies of realistic tattoos, but also wears a whole collection of tattoos from the most famous tattooers. By the way, realism style performed by Ilya is completely special. This style is called macrorealism, which is as close as possible in quality and detail to reality.
Ilya's book Pain for Money was published in 2021. In his brainchild, which is a full-fledged manual for tattoo artists, Ilya has invested many years of tattoo experience at a professional level. In addition more than 50 top tattooers from Russia and other countries took part in creation of the book. This book is a masterpiece for a tattoo artist and doesn't have any analogues in Russia.
